Path of Exile Item Upgrading
The best way to improve your gear in Path of Exile is through upgrade of your items. This lets you enhance your gear without having to depend on costly drops or trades. This article will show you how to upgrade your items efficiently.
Upgrades to equipment provide a bonus on the item's stats. The bonus is based on the rarity and level of the upgrade component.
Components

Upgrade components are the parts that improve your armor and weapons more effective. They can be found through destroying enemies, buying them from karma sellers or finding them in item-spheres. They can also be rescued from equipment with them or by using an advanced salvage kit such as the Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. Upgrade components aren't destroyed when you remove them from the item.
item upgrade of upgrade components is to allow an item to be upgraded, however, they also serve other purposes. They can be stacked to boost the value of an item that can be upgraded or they can be used to boost the experience gained by upgrading an existing weapon or piece of equipment. They can be made for additional bonuses. A glyph that is crafted can boost the chance of upgrading its target, and an upgrade boosts the defense or attack capabilities of a weapon.
You can bind an upgrade template to an item by selecting it from the edition GUI. It will display the list of upgrade components that the item can be upgraded to. Alternately, you can use the workbench to select an upgrade template. In either case, the item will be upgraded after enough upgrade components have been collected.
Each component has its own experience multiplier. This determines how much experience an item gains when upgraded with that component. For instance, organic components give a higher experience multiplier than mechanical ones. You should upgrade the organic components first, until you reach the next level in the weapon or equipment then switch to mechanical upgrades.
Each item comes with an upgrade limit number that can be received. The number of items that are upgradeable is determined by their upgradeable rank and the type of upgrade they can receive. The highest level of upgrade is a weapon of the tier 10. However, the most commonly used weapon upgrades are a tier 6 weapon and a tier 5 armor upgrade.
Sets
A set is a set of items which all have the same bonus. item upgrades in the set can be upgraded at least one time, and the upgrade increases the guaranteed bonuses. The first time you upgrade an item, its initial stat will be +1. In subsequent upgrades, the primary stats will be increased a bit further (for example, +1 up to 12+/13+/14+) Every time you upgrade the item, one of its extra stats is boosted randomly.
Upgrades can also increase the damage base of a weapon. This could be crucial for certain types of builds. However, weapons cannot be upgraded to have a greater defense base than their normal base. It is a good option to increase the value of a set and unique items, however it is important to keep in mind that they're not necessarily superior to a high-level runeword in any build.
If an item you're upgrading has a guaranteed bonus, it can be rerolled a few times and the guarantee will reset to 0. The same amount of power die is used to roll an item, just as it would be used to increase its level. However, the new item has different bonuses. Upgrades can be completed through the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in the Central Flarine. To upgrade an item you will require the required amount of Minerals and Erons, as well as a power dice of each type. These can be purchased by using Gold at the crafting table, or in the Ultra Collection. The NPC will also provide a special reward for each tier of the upgrade process. This reward is rerollable once and the reroll will be made using the same materials as the first item.
Rerolling
A player can roll any item they have acquired in the game provided they have enough reroll tokens to be able to do so. When an upgraded item is to be rerolled, it will be exchanged for an equivalent version that is level 1 of the same item in a different set. Reroll tokens are available at the store for a small amount of in-game currency. They are not refundable. The new item will offer the same bonus features as the original, but the stats will also differ.
In addition to rerolling objects, players can also alter the identification of any equipment by interacting with an upgrader NPC. This will change the identification from a weapon to armor or vice versa, while keeping its basic stats and attributes that are required. The change is permanent and will affect all characters who are wearing the gear.
The player can also upgrade the item level for any equipment equipped. This is done by talking to an upgrader NPC and getting upgrade items. It will cost a specific amount of crests as well as Valorstones according to the upgrade track and item type. For weapons, each step up will add an additional five percent to the damage.
An upgrade can make it more powerful, but it will reduce its effectiveness. It is therefore important to strike a balance between the two. Certain items might not be worth upgrading, while others will need to be upgraded to realize their potential. One player may wish to upgrade their breakpoint armor using an interesting modification ( percent block chance or FHR) to explore what else it can be.
Rerolling is a standard practice in Genshin Impact and other gacha-based games. People do it to gain access to the character or weapon they would not otherwise be able to acquire. These items can be costly and time-consuming to acquire and the RNG isn't always a good fit. The only options left are to invest real money or grind a lot. Rerolling is extremely popular in Genshin Impact.
Leveling
You can select whether to upgrade the weapon or armor when upgrading an item. However, this feature is absolutely nothing in the current game. I think this feature was created to increase the value of expensive and rare items. However, as most equipment is replaced quickly, and can only be leveled up one level, you'll usually replace it before it gets too old. It is also not worth upgrading items using gem sockets because the power of the stone will outweigh any increase in ilvl.
You will see a small box when you click the upgrade option for an item. It will show the item's template, the Crest, as well as the cost of Valorstone to increase the item level. The cost will differ between weapons and armor as well, with the former typically costing more than the latter. The upgrade template outlines the stats that can be added to an upgraded item, along with its current ilvl.
The Crest and Valorstone costs are calculated by analyzing the item's current ilvl and the upgrade template. Additionally the ilvl of a new upgraded item will be decreased by the template's lvl reduction percentage. For example an upgrade of 8% can reduce the weapon's ilvl by 8 to 88%.
In addition to the base ilvl increase it will also receive upgrades in other stats like critical strike damage, PvE damage, dodge, block, and parry rating. These increases are also based off the upgrade template.
In the upgrade template, you can see the amount of damage or defense that the item will be able to sustain when it is upgraded. This is shown below the cost and upgrade percentages. All armor and weapons that are not practice equipment gain these stats upon leveling up. item upgrading determines the value of these stats. A weapon or armor with perfect rolls can fetch more than an unupp'd version. Similar is the case for other pieces of armor, such as tiaras and circlets.
